• CheckiO Clients

checkio

Hi, guys!

We have certain changes that we want to let you know about. The checkio-client which is being used as a web plug-in, among other things, have been updated. Thanks to the feedbacks from our users we’ve managed to fix a great amount of bugs related to the mission creation and the plug-in installation on the different platforms.

There has been added the autofillrepo command that significantly speeds up the mission creation process by automatically filling the repository using only tests and transferred function names.

Now you can also install the Chromium Extension and for this you just need to call “checkio install-plugin --chromium”.

If you still have troubles installing or supporting the plug-in, then please write me about that. We’re trying to respond with maximum efficiency to all the requests we receive and fix any errors that might’ve occurred.

We are excited to inform that from this point it’s became possible to play CheckiO right from the PyCharm Edu. We sincerely hope that these integration sounds as awesome for you as they are for us.

Show us what you’ve got by solving the new missions:

The first one is called the “Expand Intervals” where you’re given an iterable with intervals and you need to create and return the list that contains all the integers contained by these intervals.

The second mission is the “Caps Lock” compute and return the result of having Joe type in the given text under the specific conditions.

The third is the “Can Balance” mission and here you need to find and return a fulcrum position in a given list of items so that when balanced on that position, the total torque of the items to the left equals the total torque of the items to the right.

Don’t miss the articles we’ve selected for you this week:
  • Check out this hardcore opinionated Python guide! All you need to know, whether you are a novice or an expert when it comes to this programming language, it’s all here. And this practice handbook is surprisingly anything like the official documentation.
  • Steve Dower gives us a look into the Python’s position at Microsoft that it is now and how this language progressed to being so significant and highly supported.
  • If you have any interest in understanding how to dockerize your Django application using the Gunicorn web server, then David Sale wrote this article just for you. Give it a read!

The users who’ve made the TOP 3 this month are mortonfox, BrianMcleod, and JohanL. Great work, guys! Keep on coding!
